Capoeira Contemporânea
Capoeira Contemporânea has achieved national
recognition in Brazil and around the world, becoming what it is
today: a dance, a sport, a game and an artistic expression of
freedom. In 1928, Mestre Bimba (Manoel dos Reis Machado) founded
what was known as "Luta Contemporânea Baiana".
A fusion of Capoeira Angola and Batuque (Street Capoeira) later
called Capoeira Contemporânea. Capoeira Malês practices
the Contemporânea style. Visit our photo
